VP Sales - Fulfillment

This is a sales leadership role at ShipHero. The position is remote.

We provide outsourced fulfillment for ecommerce. We operate our own warehouses in the US. Our model is, the merchant sends all their products to one of our warehouses, we distribute the product among our 7 US warehouses which means we're closer to the end customer. We charge the merchant a flat and simple price for shipping anywhere in the US.

We have a strong reputation, strong reviews (see https://apps.shopify.com/shiph... ) and strong inbound. We are built to serve larger contracts and we serve several public companies.

The sales team is currently 3 non-commissioned sales people, led by our COO. The role is to lead the sales team, convert the team to a commission based structure and aggressively grow our volume. We are profitable, well capitalized and growing quickly. Our target is $1 billion in revenue in 4 years.


  • Hire, lead and manage our sales team.
  • Refine our sales strategy.
  • Help define our sales materials and our playbook.
  • Work with the product team around features and functionality needed to close leads.
  • Work with our solutions team to close more complex deals.
  • Work with our analyst to negotiate and quantify profitability of deals.
  • Represent ShipHero at online and offline events.
  • Leverage you business relationships and networks to drive revenue.


  • 7 – 10 years of sales experience. Selling a tech enabled service is preferred.
  • 5 years in a management position leading a staff (10+) of employees.
  • A solid understanding of technology and marketing programs.
  • Strong consultative selling focus, with a track record of developing opportunities and closing business
  • Strong business, communication and presentation skills.
  • Organized with the ability to manage & track multiple priorities. Project / customer relationship management a strength.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others across the organization to accomplish team goals.
  • Track record of working with talented sales personnel and mentoring less experienced members of the sales team on selling, account management and negotiations skills.
  • Drive to deliver value to clients and to help shape and build a fast-paced, growing organization.

ShipHero is an 8 year old company. We've built the company with a product and engineering focus and a focus on profitability. We care about our customers and helping them succeed. We've been a distributed company since we started and we have team members around the US as well as Argentina, Canada, Spain, New Zealand and more. There is no office.

You won't have people slacking you at dinner time unless there is a real and urgent issue tasks and there is a strong focus on long form written communication. Think writing a 3 paragraph email about the issue you're trying to solve, not a dozen one sentence slack messages. We believe in asynchronous work because we believe focussed time is important. The team across all levels of the organization is extremely talented and we have very low employee turn over. You will report to the COO.
