We’re looking for a hands-on CFO that is excited to grow the business and who has experience in SaaS and non-digital businesses. Experience in high growth, private equity backed companies is a plus.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the Financial departments, budget preparation, and audit functions.
  • Works with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Participates with executive leadership team in strategic planning and establishing financial objectives for the business.
  • Develops credibility for the business office by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, financial trends, and by effectively developing solutions to business challenges to assist the CEO, the Board and others on the Leadership Team in leading the organization and fulfilling the mission.
  • Establishes guidelines for budget and forecast preparation, and prepares the annual budget in consultation with the CEO, Senior Leaders, and the Board of Directors.
  • Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
  • Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
  • Develops and implements appropriate internal controls regarding use of assets to insure efficient utilization of all capital assets including cash.
  • Is a strong business partner to the CEO and executive team offering important strategic, financial and operational insights.
  • Identifies key economic value drivers for the business, develops key performance indicators and drives operational focus around the key initiatives to enhance value.
  • In collaboration with CEO, monitors and manages the Company’s capital structure and capital needs and advises on future plans.
  • Oversees investment of funds and works with debt and equity capital markets to raise additional capital required for expansion.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

    • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
    • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

    • Ten years of experience in financial management is required.
    • Experience in mergers, acquisitions and investor relations.
    • Successful track record of building an excellent team for scale.
    • Strong business acumen with a thorough mastery of accounting, financial reporting, investments, corporate finance and business analytics.
    • Experience in PE backed companies preferred.

SKILLS:

    • Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
    • Working knowledge of how to raise capital outside traditional lines of credit.
    • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
    • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
    • Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • A leader with demonstrated experience leading a culture of success built on collective performance, maintaining department credibility and personal accountability.
